64 Students of Custom Clearance and International Freight Forwarding awarded certificates
AHMEDABAD : In its continual endeavor to impart skills to working professional the JBS Academy has organized 3 Certificate programmes Certificate course in Custom Clearance and International freight Forwarding.
The 3 course were conducted thru evening and weekend sessions with each section being @ 48 hours. It included tutorials and lectures with internal assessment. A few of the students undertook a Port visit to Port of Pipavav.
One of the batches had 14 girls from lower income groups who were tutored free of cost by the Academy.
The course was conducted thru various faculties each being a working professional with more than 7/8years working experience. A series of tutorials were also held enabling participants understand the intricacies of what they execute in their day-to-day working.
On August 31, 2012 certificates to all participants were distributed by Dr Gitaben Mehta Principal B D Arts College for Girls. The Chief Guest awarded the certificates at the JBS Academy to the participants in the presence of leading Logistic practitioners of Gujarat and all the esteemed and learned faculties.
Mr Samir Mankad Ex Director GSEC and Mr. Joseph Abraham Senior Logistician from Gujarat also gave away a few awards.
Dr Gitaben Mehta Chief Guest is a Sanskrit expert and went on to appreciate the Brand name of JBS Acadamy LOGI VEDA. She was confident that the Academy will do very well in the future and wished the Academy ; it's staff ; faculty and students a very bright future.
A few students shared their learning's with all present. Since it started operations in August 2010 JBS Academy has conducted over 69 programmes training more than 1787 participants.
The same were done stand alone customised and in partnership withother training centres etc. It included training for port personnel; custodians ; exporters; importers; CHA's; steamer agents; freight forwarders; IATA agents etc.
