AHMEDABAD: JBS Academy recently conducted a bespoke programme of “Ship Draft Survey” [under Port Operations Group Programs] on August 14, 2012 at Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd, Mundra.
The one-day programme specifically designed by Mr. Mihir Das was conducted at Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd., Mundra by Mr. Umesh M. Pithava and Mr. Vanrajsinh Zala.
The various topics covered inter-alia were need /over-view of ship draft survey, survey process, understanding different ship types, practical process of dry bulk survey and liquid cargo survey, calculation, bunker and condition survey, claims issues etc.
JBS Academy, which had till now conducted programmes only on Custom Clearance; International Freight Forwarding and related subjects are in the process of developing a similar bouquets of comprehensive programmes for the Port and allied sectors.
These would cover both short and also long duration programs.
