Japan’s largest shipbuilder Imabari eyes opportunities in Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad - Imabari Shipbuilding Co.,Ltd, Japan’s largest shipbuilder, is eyeing opportunities in Andhra Pradesh with a high-level delegation led by its President Yukito Higaki meeting Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu recently and discussed potential for investments, officials said.

The meeting comes a couple of days after the Union Budget announced a slew of measures to promote India’s shipbuilding sector.

In December, the Andhra Pradesh government finalised a maritime policy, including for shipbuilding.
