MUMBAI: J. M. Baxi & Co. successfully handled its first crew change at Vizhinjam port amidst the second wave of the pandemic, on 12th of May 2021.  All the crew was of Indian nationality, with six sign-on and four sign-off’s on vessel MT Marine Gracious.

Vizhinjam seaport is an anchorage port, and in these challenging times is proving to be the most convenient port for effecting crew changes due to its geographic location and being amidst the sea route to and from the Far East. The port is located in the southernmost state of Kerala, close to its capital Thiruvananthapuram.
