


MUMBAI: In a landmark initiative for rural transformation, the CEO of Indus Shipping Services has emerged as a champion of water conservation in Maharashtra.
Through Lions International – the world’s No. 1 NGO (as of July 2025), he has successfully executed the construction of 105 check dams (mini water reservoirs) across Palghar and Thane rural districts. With a collective storage capacity of 150 crore litres of water and an investment of Rs. 12 crores, this initiative has transformed the lives of people in over 150 villages, providing year-round drinking water, agricultural support, and relief for livestock . . .
