
NAVI MUMBAI: The Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS) Officer Trainees of 2019 batch visited Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) to witness the port facilities. The port visit gave exposure to the IRPS Officer Trainees and helped them understand the functioning of JN Port. The IRPS Officers also attended an on-ground experiential tour of the Port-led-operations and terminals to understand the scale of the business, and other initiatives undertaken by the Port. They also interacted with the
Chief vigilance Officer Shri Anil Ramteke, IRSS on JNPT’s overall operations, infrastructure developments especially new initiatives implemented to promote Ease of Doing Business, measures being taken to maintain ecological balance & about adoption of technology to improve the efficiency and quality of business at the Port, which is providing overall benefit to the Export Import community.
The visit helped the delegates gain a broad overview on the Port and its significance in the maritime sector.
The Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS) is a Prestigious Class - 1 / Group A cadre of Civil Servants of the Government of India. The Officers of this service are responsible for managing the Human Resources of the Indian Railways and welfare of railway employees and their families.
