
New Delhi - Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has expressed confidence that before the end of this year, the logistics cost will come down to nine per cent from 40 per cent currently and India will be more competitive in the international market for export. He was addressing an event in New Delhi recently.
Talking about infrastructure, Mr Gadkari said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has prioritised Water, Power, Transport, and Communication, hence, there has been a focus on building robust infrastructure. He shared the Government's expressway, National Highway, and tunnel projects for seamless interstate connectivity. The Minister said, that before the end of 2024, India's National Highway road infrastructure will be equal to the USA standard.
