Chennai - India’s coconut product exports recorded a strong 62% year-on-year increase in FY26, reaching ₹7,038.35 crore (US$794.70 million), compared with ₹4,349.03 crore in FY25, according to the government.
The sharp increase reflects growing international demand for Indian coconut products and the sector’s shift towards value-added exports. The export basket has expanded beyond traditional products such as coconut oil, desiccated coconut and shell charcoal to include virgin coconut oil, coconut milk, coconut water, activated carbon, fresh and frozen coconut, grated coconut and copra.
