India, Kazakhstan witness record jump in trade volume in Jan-Feb 2019

NEW DELHI : India and Central Asia's richest Country Kazakhstan have achieved a record jump in bilateral trade during the first two months of 2019 and planning to launch additional direct flights between two sides in spirit of India's rejuvenated Central Asia policy. 
"For the first two months of this year, bilateral trade between the countries amounted to 265.7 thousand dollars, recording 50.4% increase from the same period last year," Kazakhstan Ambassador to India Bulat SarsEnbayev told a select group of audience recently at an occasion to mark Nauryz. 
"The state and prospects of development of Kazakh-Indian relations show that we have chosen the right vector of development of cooperation. Existing capacity is very large and almost unlimited. Kazakhstan will continue to raise the strategic partnership to an even higher level and to strengthen relations between India and Kazakhstan with new meaning and content for the sake of the friendship and prosperity of the people of the two countries," he added.
