
Chennai - CONCOR’s Inland Container Depot (ICDT), Tondiarpet, has demonstrated its cargo handling efficiency by successfully executing a large-scale direct rail-to-container stuffing operation involving 2,700 tonnes of rice meant for export to China.
The export cargo arrived at ICDT in a full rake comprising 42 BCN wagons loaded from Samalkot and Tanuku. In a seamless logistics operation, the rice was directly handled from the wagons and stuffed into 105 TEUs at the terminal, significantly reducing handling time and improving supply chain efficiency.
