SEOUL: HMM announced that it has acquired 

ISO 45001, internationally-recognized certification in the field of safety and health management, from the Korean Register (KR).

ISO 45001 is the first international standard for safety and health management systems, established in 2018 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). 

HMM has demonstrated its comprehensive efforts and organizational capabilities by preventing risk factors and industrial accidents in the workplace.

HMM has formed a dedicated team since January 2022 to implement safety and health management policies and establish the related systems. It has developed safety and health management manuals and has conducted an occupational risk assessment. The ISO 45001 standard also required HMM to train corporate safety managers and perform internal audits and monitoring.
