HMM announces Far East-India-Mediterranean (FIM) at Trade event in Mumbai

Mumbai: HMM organized a trade get-together in Mumbai on August 18, 2023 to announce the launch of its solely-operated / Standalone Far East-India-Mediterranean Service (FIM).

This is series of promotional events held in Delhi(on 21 July), Kolkata (on 27 July), Chennai (04 August), Ahmedabad (on 9 August), Gandhidham (11 August) and the last event will take place in Tuticorin (on 22 August). HMM arranged it in 7 major locations in an attempt to get closer to the customers. It was noted that around 1,000 customers joined

The Mumbai event was graced by Mr. Shin Kim – Chief Container Business Officer from Korea Head Quarters & Mr eSop Kim, Managing Director of HMM Shipping India Pvt. Ltd, other senior HMM officials, and a cross-section of invitees from the trade.

HMM has added New Direct Service FIM (Far East Asia-India – Mediterranean) Starting August 2023, In order to expand our service coverage, this new FIM service features direct service connecting India to East & West Mediterranean and Red Sea Destinations.

The first sailing of the service commenced from Nhava Sheva on the 31st August 2023 vide vessel M.v Hyundai Singapore Voy 0139W.

FIM has the following port rotation: Kattupalli > Nhava Sheva > Mundra > Karachi > Jeddah > Damietta > Piraeus > Genoa > Valencia > Barcelona

It was also highlighted that FIM offers best-in-class transit times and can load DG, Reefer as well as OOG cargo, the latter by using super rack containers with extended arms.

Thanking the trade for its continuous support, Mr Shin Kim stressed that it has always been HMM’s endeavor to provide its customers quality service in the complex Indian market. The FIM service, he said, is based on customer feedback, connecting India with Mediterranean & Red Sea.

The trade will find value in shipping with HMM through this service, he emphasized.
HMM’s strategy has always been to keep moving forward, create strong partnerships with customers and strive hard to meet customer expectations, he added.
