MUMBAI: The Bombay High Court bench has granted interim stay against an order of rate revisions by the Tariff Authority for Major Ports (TAMP).
The next hearing is slated for August, during which time APM Terminals Mumbai and other petitioners are allowed to collect tariff at the rates prevailing prior to the order dated 19 January 2012.
The court also instructed the petitioners to keep an account of such transactions till further orders. APM Terminals Mumbai is a premier container terminal and serves 20% of India’s containerized throughput.
Mr. Dinesh Lal, Chairman, APM Terminals Mumbai, stated, “We are in receipt of an Interim Stay Order from The Bombay High Court and we will, as a company, abide by it in full.”
