Haldia Dock Complex crosses Record 2 Lakh TEUs in 2025, Marks Historic Turnaround

Kolkata - Haldia Dock Complex (HDC), under Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (SMPK), has achieved a historic milestone by crossing 2.0 lakh TEUs of container throughput in calendar year 2025, the highest-ever volume handled by the dock in a single year. The landmark was reached as of 10:00 hrs on December 17, with 15 days remaining in the year.

The achievement decisively surpasses the previous peak of 1,73,288 TEUs recorded in calendar year 2021 and signals a strong revival after a period of subdued performance. Container throughput at HDC had declined to 1 . . .
