Mr. Gupta said, his 44 years of service had been extremely rewarding and professionally fulfilling. However it was his last five years (in IPGL) which gave him immense satisfaction. “Setting up a an organisation from the ground level was indeed an experience. Not to mention challenges of the strategic project, starting from contract negotiations to commencement of terminal operations at Chabahar. It was long, slow but steady journey. The project has been really a dream come true for me. While at the helm of SCI, I learnt the nuances of corporate level management, the Chabahar project gave me an opportunity to better appreciate geopolitical challenges facing our nation. The interactions with senior bureaucrats and diplomats were indeed enriching,” he said.
