Gujarat Pipavav Port, NYK India ink MoU to boost RoRo capacity to 5 lakh vehicles annually

Pipavav - Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited (GPPL) on Wednesday announced that it has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NYK India Private Limited to significantly enhance Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) infrastructure at Pipavav Port in Gujarat. The upgraded facility is expected to handle up to 500,000 cars annually.

According to the company’s filing with the stock exchanges, the collaboration aims to develop specialised RoRo infrastructure focused on reducing dwell time and enabling seamless vessel–rail synchronisation.
