GANDHINAGAR : The Gujarat Government in a note today stated that it has signed 23 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for a proposed potential investment of Rs. 1 lakh crore which when realized will create 70,000 employment opportunities.

In an ongoing series of MoU signing per week ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024, so far 77 MoUs have been signed for investment of Rs. 35,000 crore on 13 occasions. It was the 14th day of the MoU signing series on which 23 MoUs were signed for 1 lakh crore potential investment. So far 100 MoUs have been signed for a proposed investment of Rs. 1.35 lakh crore.

Among the MoUs signed are the MoUs for investment in port, power, minerals, engineering, auto, industrial parks, textile, apparel, chemicals, petrochemicals, education, agro and food processing etc sectors.

According to the government, the industrial units for which MoUs were signed today will start operations during the 2025-2030 period at Amreli, Valsad, Hazira, Dwarka, Jamnagar, Kutch, Salaya, Morbi, Jamnagar, Dholka, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Vadodara, Mahesana etc districts.
