
New Delhi - India’s goods and services tax collections surged by 12.6 per cent to an all-time high of ₹2.37 lakh crore during April, according to government data.
For the previous month, India’s indirect tax collections increased by 9.9 per cent YoY to ₹1.96 lakh crore crore during March.
The GST mop-up was ₹2.10 lakh crore in April 2024 – the second highest collection ever since the roll-out of the indirect tax regime on July 1, 2017.
