SINGAPORE/MUMBAI: Vasco Maritime Pte Ltd., the NVOCC and Ship Owning arm of the famed Goodrich Group of Companies celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a grand celebration at the Fullerton Bay Hotel in Singapore on the 30th of November, 2018.

 

The selection of the venue itself was a highly prestigious roof top restaurant called Lantern which overlooked, on various sides landmarks of Singapore like the Marina  Bay Sands on one side , the Merlion and the CBD of Singapore on the other two sides. Blessed by the weather Gods with the dry spell during the rainy seasons this open air restaurant uninterruptedly allowed Vasco Maritime  to make their event a Grand Success.

 

During the ceremony which proved to be the high point of the evening, a special Video was released which recalled the inspiration that led to the creation of Vasco Maritime. Further the film recollected the Company’s success story of increasing number of activities, of increasing revenues and of increasing recognition by various stake holders of the Shipping Industry. Covering various parts of South East Asia, Indian Sub-Continent and Arabian Gulf.

 

The film highlighted the trials and tribulations faced by Vasco during the turbulent days of economic depressions, the reasons why the Goodrich Group had to take a temporary sabbatical from Ship Owning and individualized their focus on Box Operation to make a brilliant recovery and re-establish its profitable ways.

 

The film thanked profusely all the entities including the Financial Institution, the DBS Bank in particular for having stood by Company during difficult times  based mainly on their highest regard for the  promoters of the Company.

 

The film ended eulogizing dreams with which  Business Ventures are established and then flourished.

 

The spacious venue where the party took place was choc-a-bloc. Such was the massive turnout which the Singapore Trade responded with. Among the assembled invitees were representatives of the Terminals in Singapore as well as Port Klang, all the Feeder Operators, Bankers, Container Leasing Companies, Representatives of Companies involved in the ISO Tank Trade, innumerable customers, Storage Depots etc. The entire cross section of the Export Import Trade were omnipresent at this sparkling function.

 

It was during this ceremony that the assembled invitees were briefed about the multiple activities and multiple offices that adorned the Goodrich Landscape.

 

It is also during this function that the Singapore Shipping & Logistics Industry became aware of the various challenges which the Goodrich Group has successfully undertaken including the daring ones of setting up of their business in difficult terrains like Afghanistan and Kazakhstan. They also realized that the Goodrich of today is no longer India Centric as the Group now does extensive Global Trade.

 

Earlier Goodrich business was very much synonymous with Containers of various types like Dry Vans, Reefers, Flat Racks, Open Tops, ISO Tanks, Swap Tanks etc. But today, Goodrich Companies have added many a feather to their cap by extending their activities to Dry Bulk Vessel Operating, Heavy Lift movement through Land and Sea and Liquid Cargo in tanker vessels too.

 

Always living up to its recognition as the Most Versatile Shipping & Logistics Co. earlier operating only in India has now been extended to the whole of Asia.

 

In an unprecedented move, the Management of Goodrich Group decided to introduce the next generation to the Singapore Trade at this colorful function.

 

Mr. Prasann Venkataraman and Mr. Rahul Gopal who were introduced, spoke to the assembled supporters of Goodrich in a very amiable manner which augured very well for the future growth of the Goodrich Group.

 

The party continued unabated till the wee hours of the night.

 

Talking about Goodrich Group further and its never ending variations in Business Ventures, very soon the Group will inaugurate their brand new Chemical Storage facility in South Zone, JAFZA at Jebel Ali. During the first Phase they will be inaugurating their Tank Storage Farm along with a State of the Art ISO Tank Cleaning Station. The Tank Storage Farm is comprehensive with facilities such as blending, drumming and being multifaceted.

 

The two Managing Directors of the Group were visibly moved when they absorbed the unmitigated love and affection which was shown by every single invitee of the get together.
