Lucknow - Complimenting the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the dynamic leadership of Hon'ble Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath for an exquisite and spectacular Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS), Dr A Sakthivel, President, FIEO said that the show has provided an excellent opportunity for showcasing the prowess of UP in manufacturing both in sunrise sectors such as Electronics, Defence, Machinery, Medical Equipment, Pharma on the one hand and traditional sectors covering textiles, handicrafts, leather, food processing and more particularly GI and ODOP products on the other spectrum.

The show was inaugurated by the Hon'ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu along with Hon'ble CM of UP and Cabinet Ministers of the State. The Hon'ble President visited few pavilions to motivate and encourage the exhibitors.

FIEO has invited about 500 buyers from 70 countries, covering wide range of sectors, from across Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Australia and Africa. The 5-days B2B sessions with over 2000 exhibitors and over 70000 sellers will not only generate huge business and exports opportunities, said President, FIEO but will also lead to Joint Ventures and even FDI through greenfield and brownfield sectors.

FIEO is organising seminars at UPITS for the benefits of Indian startups and entrepreneurs, exposing them to traits of international trade while simultaneously making them aware of non-trade issues like environment and labour, which are emerging as biggest barriers to free trade.
