FFFAI Executive Committee Meeting held at ITC Maratha–Mumbai with All India Members Association

MUMBAI: The 10th Executive Committee Meeting of the Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India (FFFAI) , which was held on September 30th  in Mumbai, with participation of its 28 Member Associations’ Presidents and nominated Office Bearers deliberated on various Export Import Trade, Customs & Logistics issues. 

FFFAI on December 2, 2022 is completing its 60 years of services to the Export-Import Trade since its foundation on December 2, 1962. At this EC meeting discussions were also held on celebrating the Diamond Jubilee year. 
FFFAI during its meeting deliberated on following issues: 
1. All India Faceless facilitation measures & Challenges 
2. CAROTAR issues
a. Acceptance of COO
b. Long pendency - Finalisation of Provisional Bill of Entry 
3. Valuation 
4. Harmonised system updates
5. Case Laws related to customs brokers / logistics industry.  
6. Safety / Security ( safeguarding of Customs Brokers)
7. Implementation of Code of Conduct ( CoC), 
Standard Trading Conditions(STC) , 
8. No objection Certificate (NOC) for acceptance of new businesses.
9. Centralization of KYC (Know your Customers)  through IT enabled government portals 
10. Port Infrastructure and connectivity.
11. Opportunities under PM Gati Shakti and integration through National Logistics Platform 
12. To support Training & Skill developments in logistics sector 
13. International initiatives through FIATA / IFCBA with World Customs Organisation ( WCO) World Trade Organisation( WTO)
14. Participation in International North South Transport Corridor (INSTC ) government project
15. Supporting MSME companies with helpdesk  
16. Mumbai Customs Zone 1 launched the CBLMS with presentation to all India 28 Member Association.
 FFFAI would be finalising the details programme on Diamond Jubilee. Highlighting the importance of the mega event, Mr Shankar Shinde, Chairman, FFFAI shared that at this Diamond Jubilee Celebration event, FFFAI will also release a documentary video containing the major happenings in FFFAI and its 28 member associations during last 60 years’ journey. A Coffee Table Book to feature in significant memories and a Souvenir will also be published to commemorate the event. Further Mr Shinde informed that at this event there will be some CSR activities like felicitating people from Armed Force and Sports, those who made India proud. Some other CSR activities are also being considered which will be finalised in due course of time.
To mark the importance of event FFFAI will also confer jury awards to prominent Industry practitioners/companies from Logistics domain for their outstanding contribution towards this Logistics.
