MV Bahamian Express BE01W berthed at KICT under KDI Service on 29th July

 

GANDHIDHAM: Saurashtra Freight & Transnational Shipping (India) has formed an entity - Fairwind Shipping Private Limited for expanding wings into Feeder Line operations. The key objective is to charter and operate our fleet across the Persian Gulf region with a strong Customer centric approach aiming to optimize the time and cost factor, informed a release of Fairwind Shipping.

 

KDI SERVICE : A NEW BEGINNING

 

It was a historic moment for the company on 29th July 2017 when mv Bahamian Express BE01W berthed at Kandla International Container Terminal (KICT) under KDI Service.

 

This call at KICT under the “KDI Service” serves the ever growing demand of the trade to have a direct port calls to Jebel Ali, Dammam, Shuaiba & Umm Qasr out of KICT.

 

 

The vessel with LOA of 179.7 m arrived at KICT carrying 875 TEUs on 29th July and sailed out to its destination with 526 TEUs on 30th July at 0700 hrs.

 

The Port rotation of KDI Service is Jebel Ali - Dammam – Shuaiba - Umm Qasr - Jebel Ali - KICT

 

It was great achievement for Fairwind Shipping in terms of volumes handled on its maiden voyage mv Bahamian Express BE01W at KICT given the fact that this was done under heavy rains & stormy conditions in major parts of South Gujarat & Rajasthan. 

 

By catering to all the major destinations at a competitive rate, the service of KDI is all set to become “Kandla’s gateway service to Middle East”, added a media statement from Fairwind Shipping.
