The new system to enhance the infrastructure at the terminal, to give operational efficiency a boost
MUMBAI : DP World Nhava Sheva has always been a pioneer in technological advancements and in facilitating “ease-of-doing-business”. In what is another step towards complete automation, DP World Nhava Sheva has implemented a path breaking technology of the new 'Smart Gate' to strengthen their operational processes and to ensure seamless movement of cargo through the terminal gates.
With the introduction of Smart Gate truck queues may become a problem of past - the new system permits quick truck turnaround time and alleviate delays, thereby eliminating congestion at the terminal entry and exit points.
Elimination of manual interference and introduction of digital process creates a paperless transaction and readily retrievable data on demand. It is a technology, implemented to demonstrate improvement in efficiency to facilitate the ease of doing business and is believed to be highly beneficial to the port community and the trade at large.
The facility was inaugurated by Mr. Anil Wats, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Mr. Anil Singh, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, DP World Subcontinent in the presence of top dignitaries from the trade fraternity.
