GANDHIDHAM: Phoenix Shipping Gandhidham based Shipping company has flagged-off a new weekly rail service, operated by CONCOR between Kandla to GOA (ICD BALLI) reducing both costs and transit time between the two destination.
The new rail service was flagged off by Mr. Rohan Dange , TM Gandhidham CONCOR on October 01, 2022. The inaugural run had 100% rake utilization and loaded 90 TEUs from Kandla. This initiative of
Direct rack will be a game-changer, leading to a paradigm shift from road to rail cargo movement.
Kandla- GOA service will call twice in month and plans are make it weekly service in near future.
It may be recalled that recently container service by feeder operators has suspended call from Gujrat to GOA. Thus, we had no option to move the cargo by container rack.
