DGMA : India continues on the IMO STCW "White List"

London/Mumbai - India continues to be among the Parties confirmed by the IMO Maritime Safety Committee as having communicated information demonstrating full and complete effect to the relevant provisions of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), 1978.

The continued inclusion of India in the Annex to IMO MSC.1/Circ.1163/Rev.14, adopted by the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC 111), reaffirms India's continued compliance with the STCW Convention and reflects the country's commitment to maintaining globally recognised standards of maritime education, training, certification and watchkeeping.
