Delhi Airport sets annual cargo record - one million tonnes during October
DELHI: Delhi Airport handled the highest ever monthly tonnage in October, also setting an annual record of one million tonnes year to date. The Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) claimed that this feat places the airport, which handles 29 per cent of the Country's cargo, in the 28th position globally.
 
DIAL said that in the past 10 years, investment has advanced the modernisation of air cargo handling facilities. The airport is now connected to 75 international and 67 domestic destinations and is served by 64 air carriers and 16 freighter airlines.
