CSCL's Xin Nan Sha makes maiden call at Mundra

MUNDRA / MUMBAI: China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL), Xin Nan Sha vessel commemorated the maiden call at the Mundra International Container Terminal (MICT) on December 22, 2012.
 
On this occasion, A welcome ceremony was held on board.
 
To mark the event, Mr Jibu Itty, General Manager (Ops) of MICT presented the commemorative plaque to  Capt. Tan Hon, Master of the vessel.
 
The 4,200-TEU/52,000-DWT vessel is part of CSCL's current fleet of over 150 vessels.Further CSCL teamed up with United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) on its new GEM1 service connecting Turkey, Port Said, Red Sea, Middle East Gulf, Pakistan and India.

The CSCLs GEM1 service port rotation: Khorfakkan, Sohar, Port Sultan Qaboos, Karachi, Mundra, Khorfakkan, Jebel Ali, Bahrain, Jubail, Khorfakkan, Jeddah, Yanbu, Port Said (East), Mersin, Izmit, Kumport, Izmir, Port Said (East), Yanbu, Jeddah, Khorfakkan.
 
The service offers customers excellent transit times in both directions, from the Indian Subcontinent, Arabian Gulf and Red Sea to a large number of ports in East Mediterranean, North Africa and Black Sea.
 
CSCL serves customers in North-West India by calling at Mundra Port, and shortly, also at Hazira through the GEM1 service.
 
CSCL, at Mundra and Hazira, is represented by Merchant Shipping Services Pvt. Ltd as sub-agents to China Shipping India.
