KOCHI : Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) is set to expand its shipbuilding footprint in Kochi after the Kerala government approved the lease of around 18 acres of land for a new ship-block construction facility. The proposed project involves an investment of approximately 5,000 crore and is expected to create around 2,000 jobs.The facility will strengthen CSL's existing shipbuilding infrastructure and increase its capacity to manufacture large ship blocks, which are assembled into complete vessels at shipyards. The additional capacity is expected to help the company respond to growing demand from both Indian and international customers . . .
