MUMBAI: CMA CGM Group, a leading worldwide shipping group, was pleased to welcome around 200 clients and partners during an event held in Mumbai on Friday, 21st August.
 
This celebration was also the occasion to highlight the strong links between CMA CGM and India and to welcome the new CMA CGM India Managing Director Ms. Audrey Dolhen.
 
Ms. Audrey Dolhen joined the Group in 2006 and has been evolving in CMA CGM India since 2011. Through her experience, she developed a strong expertise of the shipping industry and the Indian market. She will be in charge of providing answers to CMA CGM clients’ needs and expectations and of pursuing the Group’s development on the strategic Indian subcontinent.
 
CMA CGM India: A global presence on a strategic market
 
With its growing population, its huge territory full of resources and its dense economic network, India is a dynamic and strategic market for CMA CGM.  Headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, CMA CGM India operates 13 weekly direct services calling 11 ports and 11 indirect services, connecting India to the world. More than 520 staff members are employed by CMA CGM India, across a strong and intricate network of 26 offices – which made India one of the largest CMA CGM’s local implantation.
 
In addition to its maritime expertise, the CMA CGM Group deploys a global network of services in the Country.
 
CMA CGM India offers a wide range of Shipping and Intermodal solutions covering accessibility to and from 33 inland locations, 6 Gateway Ports and 7 Feeder Ports in the Country.
 
For the first time, CMA CGM won the “Container Line of the year” at the Gateway Awards 2015. This distinction confirmed the Group’s sustainable growth in India.
 
CMA CGM’s evolutions perspectives in India
 
CMA CGM continues to diversify and expand its offer in India. In April 2015,the Group acquired a strategic stake in LCL Logistix, a logistics leader in India, via its subsidiary CMA CGM LOG.
 
In mid-2016, CMA CGM will launch a new container terminal in Mundra in association with the Adani Group.
 
CMA CGM’s future in India is bright, the Group’s development plan aims at making CMA CGM one of the best maritime and logistics provider in India. Thanks to the existing network and local recognition, the CMA CGM Group pursues its development to be a fully integrated operator by using all Group synergy inside and outside the continent.
