Chennai port revives ₹8,000-crore outer harbour project, phase one targeted for 2031

Chennai - Chennai Port is set to undergo a major expansion with the revival of its ambitious Outer Harbour Project, planned at an estimated cost of ₹8,000 crore. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by 2031, significantly boosting the port’s capacity and enabling it to handle some of the world’s largest vessels.
