MUMBAI: Shipping Corporation of India has informed the Stock Exchanges that as per order received from The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Capt. B. K. Tyagi, Director (L&PS), (SCI), will also hold the additional charge of the post of Director (T&OS), SCI for a period of 3 months w.e.f. 1st May 2021 or until further orders whichever is earlier.

Capt. B K Tyagi graduated from Meerut University and joined SCI in 1990 as Trainee Nautical officer, served on board various ships in different ranks including Master of the ships. In 2004, he was absorbed shore office and served technical, vetting, Chartering, fleet personnel departments in various ranks. Overall 30 years rich experience in various aspects of shipping.

Capt. B K Tyagi has all round professional qualifications covering areas like Ship operations, Navigation, General Management, Shipping management and legal aspects.
