Mumbai - Brihanmumbai Custom Brokers Association (BCBA) and the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), in collaboration with Air Cargo Customs, Mumbai Zone III, successfully organized a Seminar Cum Webinar on the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Scheme on 6th December, 2023, informed a BCBA communique. 

The event took place at the FIEO conference room in Mumbai, marking a significant step towards facilitating new businesses and addressing issues related to the AEO Program.

The AEO Scheme is a globally recognized initiative that aims to enhance international supply chain security and facilitate movement of legitimate goods. This seminar was specifically designed for AEO Status Holders and Potential AEO Applicants, providing them with an opportunity to understand the benefits of the scheme and how to navigate any challenges they may encounter during the application process.

The keynote address was delivered by Shri. Ranjit Kumar, IRS Commissioner of Customs Export, ACC Mumbai Zone III. His insightful speech shed light on the importance of the AEO scheme in today's global trade scenario. He emphasized on how this program can help businesses gain a competitive edge by ensuring smoother, faster and more reliable supply chains.

Following this, BCBA President Mr. Dushyant Mulani addressed the gathering. He highlighted BCBA's commitment towards supporting businesses in their journey towards becoming an Authorized Economic Operator.
