
MUMBAI: BCBA Celebrated its 85th Foundation Day at Walchand Hirachand Hall, Indian Merchant Chambers on Monday, 20th December 2021.
The occasion was graced by Shri P. K. Agrawal, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Zone I as Chief Guest of the occasion, Shri Roopam Kapoor, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Zone III, Shri M. K. Singh, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Zone II as the Guest of Honour of the occasion.
The celebration of the start of 85th year was marked with appealing to the members to start their journey into the digital era. This was the first physical gathering of BCBA after 18 months of pandemic. The occasion was well attended by Past Presidents and Advisors of the association. The function started with one minute silence observation to team and Former Chief of Defence Staff, Indian Armed Forces and his colleagues, Custom Broker fraternity who lost their life during their duty through the covid battle.
Mr. Nirav Thakkar – Joint Hon. Secretary and Mr. Harsh Lapsia, Member Managing Committee welcomed all three Chief Commissioners from Mumbai Zone I, II, III and attendees from various trade bodies and Board of Advisors of BCBA. The celebration was also available live through digital platform.
Shri P. K. Agrawal, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Zone I Chief Guest of the occasion was felicitated by President BCBA Mr. Kiran Rambhia and Sr. Vice President Mr. Dushyant Mulani by handing over flower bouquet and Shawl.
Shri Roopam Kapoor, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Zone III was felicitated by President BCBA Mr. Kiran Rambhia and Vice President Mr. Sanjeev Harale by handing over flower bouquet and Shawl.
Shri. M.K. Singh, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Zone II was felicitated by President BCBA Mr. Kiran Rambhia and Hon. Treasurer Mr. Hiren Ruparel by handing over flower bouquet and Shawl.
BCBA Felicitated all former Presidents, Board of Advisors, invitees from Trade Bodies.
BCBA President Shri Kiran Rambhia addressing the gathering appealed to his members to allocate the resources in terms of optimising the business model so that they generate more revenue and at the same time run the business in a more ethical way. This should be the need of the hour, as the role of Custom Brokers will become more dynamic in the days to come. He thanked his Managing Committee team, Past President, Advisors, Secretariat and all members for supporting him and bestowing him with the responsibility.
The President and Managing Committee Members welcomed the advisors present and thanked them for taking great interest in attending the meeting. They further expressed their gratitude and acknowledged the contribution of Senior Advisors and Past Presidents which has made BCBA of what it is today.
To grace the day in memory of all the Foundation a sweet gesture of cake cutting was done in presence of advisors and invited dignitaries
Indeed a great day to celebrate! Hoping for many more land mark achievements and grand success of BCBA!
