Association of Multimodal Transport Operators of India (AMTOI) Successfully Concludes 24th AGM

Mumbai, India - September 14, 2023 - The Association of Multimodal Transport Operators of India
(AMTOI) celebrated its 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 13, 2023, at the prestigious National Sports Club of India, Worli, Mumbai.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from President Mr. Xerrxes Master, who addressed the
gathering and set the tone for the AGM. The proceedings began at 1800 Hrs with a delightful high tea
for members, followed by the formal meeting at 1820 Hrs.

Key highlights of the AGM included the presentation of the Annual Report for the term 2022-23 by Hon.
Secretary Mr. Arun Kumar and the presentation of the Audited Financial Report by Hon. Treasurer Mr.
Devpal Menon.
The election results for two executive committee posts were also announced, with Mr.
Xerrxes Master and Mrs. Anjali Bhide being elected unopposed.

AMTOI expressed its gratitude to 13 media groups for their unwavering support. Additionally, Citations
of Honor were presented to members UPS SCS (India) Pvt Ltd, Associated Container Line Pvt. Ltd.,
Goodrich Maritime Pvt Ltd, Rosemount Shipping (India) Pvt. Ltd., and Global Consolidators & Forwarders for achieving 25 years in business.

Certificates of Loyalty were issued to members who have shown commitment to Multimodalism by
completing 10 and 20 years as members of AMTOI.
This year, 11 members received certificates for 10
years and 6 members for 20 years of valued membership.

The event also celebrated the 60th anniversary (Diamond Jubilee) of Freight Forwarders' Associations in India (FFFAI), with Shri Shankar Shinde, Chairman of FFFAI, being honored with a plaque.

The AGM welcomed esteemed Chief Guest Shri Shyam Jagannathan, Director General of Shipping &
Additional Secretary
to the Govt. of India, Directorate General of Shipping, and Guest of Honour Shri
Shankar Shinde, Chairman of FFFAI & Chairman of International Federation of Customs Brokers
Associations (IFCBA).

The AGM concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mr. Arun Kumar, Hon. Secretary. Following the AGM, the 1st Executive Committee meeting for the year 2023-2024 was held at 2000 Hrs. at the same venue. 

The newly elected office bearers for the term 2023-2024 are as follows:
Mr. Xerrxes Master – President
Mr. Arun Kumar – Vice President
Mr. Devpal Menon – Honorary Secretary
Mr. Haresh Lalwani – Honorary Treasurer
