APSEZ launches Logistics Data Bank Tracking solution at Kattupalli Port on November 28

CHENNAI: Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd, (APSEZ), India’s largest port developer and part of the Adani Group, has launched Logistics Data Bank (LDB) tracking solution at Kattupalli Port.
 
The single window tracking solution that has hugely improved operations in Indian container logistics, launched its service at Kattupalli Port on 28 November 2018.
 
Adani Kattupalli Port Pvt Ltd, India’s most modern port providing the foreign trade in Chennai, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh region with a whole new dimension of service, speed and sophistication.
 
Addressing the gathering, Ajith Kumar, Chief Commissioner Customs, said that Indian Customs is taking steps to ease movement of goods by implementing steps suggested by the World Bank.
 
Along with all other stakeholders, it is the duty of the Customs to ensure hassle-free movement of goods, so that we rely on latest technologies to reduce delays, he added.
 
Mr. Ennarasu Karunesan, CEO – Adani South Ports, said, “The shipping trade is now becoming an elated field. Digital world is developing in very big way to support the logistics system to ease out congestion and facilitate in doing business smoothly. Adani Ports & SEZ have devised 42 key points in their agenda are being implemented in all Adani Ports including Kattupalli Port & Ennore Container terminal.”
 
Mr. Ennarasu Karunesan stated: “The LDB is an all India initiative and this project will help in cutting down the overall lead time of container movement as well as reduced transaction costs that consignee and shippers incur. It will bring visibility and transparency in Logistics environment, streamline the operations across the supply chain and help in Government’s plan of improving the Ease of Doing Business in India.  Integrated software system is developing now which will bring fortune to the trade and is being implemented on Fast track mode. Kattupalli Port has posted 43% growth  in the last financial year.”
