


Pipavav, India – To commemorate International Women's Day, APM Terminals Pipavav organized impactful workshops, empowering over 300 local women. Focused on self-employment, breast cancer awareness, and inspiring success stories, these sessions aimed to equip women with essential skills for personal and professional advancement.
In accordance with the United Nation’s Theme – “Invest in Women – Accelerate Progress” for the International Women’s Day 2024, APM- Terminals Pipavav initiated many activities to accelerate progress through Women Empowerment. Some of the achievements of the company includes, empowering over 1500 women with literacy skills through dedicated classes. Around 1000 women are employed through targeted skill development programs. The company has also established a Skill Development Centre for Women at Sanghavi Girls College, Rajula to ensure skilling and employment of Girls undergoing BA and B Com courses. Through this the company aims at bridging the gap between education and employment. Additionally, the company’s project Uddan - a CSR initiative supports over 400 women from underprivileged communities on their path to self-sufficiency.
