APM Terminals Mumbai welcomes HS Paris vessel of China Shipping

6,500 TEU capacity HS Paris makes maiden call on MINA service Berth productivity of 106 moves per hour recorded
 
MUMBAI : APM Terminals Mumbai welcomed China Shipping Container Line's HS Paris on March 20, 2015 on her maiden call as part of the Middle East-Indian Subcontinent-North America (MINA) Service, jointly operated by the United Arab Shipping Company, Hanjin Shipping, CMA CGM and China Shipping. The 6,500 TEU capacity HS Paris completed 1,292 import and export moves in approximately 12 hours, for a berth productivity of 106 moves per hour.
 
The MINA Service operates on fixed-day weekly sailing linking KhorFakkan, Jebel Ali, Port Qasim, Nhava Sheva (APM Terminals Mumbai), Mundra, Jeddah, Port Said East, Livorno, La Spezia, Genoa, Fos, Barcelona, Valencia, Tangier, New York, Norfolk, Savannah and Miami.
 
“We are very pleased to welcome China Shipping to APM Terminals Mumbai and look forward to our partnership in the India market”, stated APM Terminals Mumbai Chief Commercial Officer,  Mr Amit Malik.
 
APM Terminals Mumbai is India's busiest container terminal, offering more international shipping services than any other Indian container terminal.
 
APM Terminals Mumbai set a new record in 2014 for container volume for Indian terminals with 1.99 million TEUs handled.
 
A plaque presentation commemorating the Captain and the China Shipping vessel was held on board.
 
China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL) is the 7th largest Global Container Shipping liner operating 156 vessels with a total capacity of  724 ,000 TEU.
 
CSCL's container ships call more than 180 ports in over 60 countries. The Line currently operates four services calling Nhava Sheva and Mundra and is an expansion mode in India.
