MUMBAI : Nishna Patel won the coveted Allcargo Logistics Champion Golfer of the year trophy at the WIGA Junior Golf Championship held on January 18 at the Willingdon Golf Club at Mahalaxmi, Mumbai.

Mr. Adarsh Hegde – Joint MD – Allcargo Logistics presented the trophy to the winner. Allcargo Logistics was the presenting sponsor for the most awaited & oldest junior golf tournament in the city.

“The WIGA Junior Golf Championship counts among one of the most prestigious golfing tournaments in the Country. Allcargo is honored to be associated with the championship which has honed the gaming skills of many aspiring golfers,” stated Mr. Shashi Kiran Shetty, Chairman, Allcargo Logistics and an avid golfer himself.

Mr Shashi Kiran Shetty has been an ardent champion of promoting budding golfing talent and has played a leading role in creating a conducive ecosystem for the development of the game in Mumbai.

The tournament had top junior golfers (upto the age of 16 years) from the city vying for the top honors. The immediate Past President of WIGA, Suresh Sundaram and newly elected President Commander (Retd) Mike Bhada who have been prominent golfers for over 5 decades, worked tirelessly alongwith other members of the WIGA Governing Council, to ensure the mega success of the tournament.
