MUMBAI : As part of its support to social causes and promoting public health and fitness, Allcargo Logistics Ltd, the World’s Largest Integrated logistics company in the private sector, through its CSR arm Avvashya Foundation, participated in the TATA Mumbai Marathon 2018, held on January 21.

 

Through the marathon, the company supported the efforts of NGOs - Alert India, Light of Life Trust and Save the Children India to provide succor, nutrition and healthcare to deprived communities.

 

A group of around 80 employees represented the company in the dream run, 10K, and half marathon categories. The company raised awareness and promoted their in-house CSR programme ‘Maitree’ – a green environment initiative at the Marathon.

The Tata Mumbai Marathon is a unique community initiative which aims to motivate and promote the growth of a healthy social existence and a vibrant nation. Allcargo Logistics has been a vocal supporter of key community empowerment programs and has initiated several social development projects like “Maitree”, committed to environmental sustainability and “Nipun” to improve the employability skill sets of underprivileged youth. Allcargo has been wholeheartedly supporting the Mumbai Marathon for more than 10 years in a row.
