ACHAA 'CONCOR CUP' Cricket Tournament flourished

AHMEDABAD:  The Clearing and Forwarding faterninty witnessed one of the well organised, competitive cricket tournament exclusively meant for the people working in this trade by ACHAA as a part of their Silver Jubilee celebration on October 12- 14, 2012.
 
Nearly 250 people employed in this industry took part in the blazing sun unmindful of the heat. In all 16 teams entered the fray and on Sunday noon, the final was fought between Jeena XI v/s Translog, where Translog who started the tournament as underdogs went on to win the thrilling final with 4 balls to spare.
 
At one time, it seemed Jeena XI would comfortably walk away with the cup until Beilington of Translog came and started hitting the ball over the boundary line time and again.What a knock.Was worth the time spent by the crowd.
 
 
The winning team Translog walked away with the Winners Cup and cash prize of Rs15,000/- while the Runners up Cup and cash prize of Rs.7500/- was given to Jeena XI. Beilington of Translog was declared the Man of the Match for the final game while the Man of the Tournament cup went to Sandip of Maffick Logistics. All the matches had a Man of the Match award.
 
The main award  was given by Dr. Sandeep Jot Singh, Asst. Commissioner of Customs, Air Cargo,Ahmedabad, along with Mr Devendra Thakker and his mother Smt. Damyanti Thakker.
 
The other individual prizes were given by Mr Kartik Pancholi(President-ACHAA), Mr Samir J Shah  (President - ACAAI ), Mr Samir Mankad (Director - GSEC Ltd), Mr Vineet Mathur(Chief Manager- ICD Khodiyar), Mr Shantanu Bhadkamkar (Chairman-FFFAI)&Mr Amit Bhatnagar (President - ASAA).
