Pipavav - India's journey towards technology-enabled customs modernisation has reached an important milestone, with Pipavav Port selected as one of only three pilot ports for the phased implementation of 100% Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) of import containers. Announced as part of the Union Budget 2026–27, the initiative seeks to progressively expand container scanning through advanced imaging systems & AI-enabled risk assessment, strengthening cargo security while enabling faster Trade Facilitation.
