MUMBAI: Mr. Mahesh Sivaswamy, Chairman & CEO – Transworld Group Singapore was conferred with the “Global Indian Personality in Shipping and Logistics” Award in the recently concluded Gujarat Star Awards at Radisson Hotel - Kandla on 25th November 2017.
This Special Award was presented by Mr. Samir J Shah of JBS Group and Mr. Tushar Anam of V Arjoon Shipping.
On receiving this Special Award and a standing ovation from the distinguish gathering, Mr. Sivaswamy expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the entire trade for their immense trust and support received over the years. He also took this opportunity to thank his dedicated team members who were helping in scaling Transworld Group Singapore to new heights.
Under the dynamic leadership of Mr Mahesh Sivaswamy, BLPL Singapore Pte. Ltd., a Liner service under Transworld Group Singapore, has won the "Enterprise 50" award for 5 consecutive years since 2012. In the recent Enterprise 50 Award ceremony, BLPL was awarded the No 1 Singaporean company. Orient Express Lines Singapore, another subsidiary of Transworld Group Singapore has also earned an impressive reputation for excellence, having been selected five years in a row, as an Enterprise 50 company.
Way back in 1999, Mr Mahesh Sivaswamy relocated to Singapore to establish the presence of Transworld Group Singapore in the South-East Asian region.
In his capacity, He successfully grew the Group into one of East Asia's fastest growing shipping companies.
He was also the driving force behind the formation of BLPL Singapore, one of the leading liner services in Asia. Mr Mahesh has also further expanded Transworld Group Singapore’s suite of solutions through its logistics arm, Transworld Global Logistics Solutions (TGLS). Now, the Group has 6 major verticals which include Ship Owning, Feeder, Agency & Global Logistics, Ship Management, Inland Terminals & Liner division.
