LPMS introduced at Agartala ICP

Akhaura - Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI) has introduced an enhanced Land Port Management System (LPMS) at Agartala ICP in Akhaura along the Indo-Bangladesh border to improve cross-border trade and strengthen security measures.

LPAI chairman Aditya Mishra stated that while they have operated three modern land ports in Tripura, Bangladesh-Agartala, Srimantarpur, and Sabroom for several years, the system upgrade was essential to improve cross-border trade and connectivity.

The Agartala land port, functioning alongside Akhaura, has established itself as the second most active trading route between India and Bangladesh, following Petrapole-Benapole . . .
