…Association sets example of achievement through combined and dedicated effort
AHMEDABAD: Ahmedabad Customs House Agents' Association (ACHAA) has entered in its successful journey of 25 years this year.
To celebrate this milestone, ACHAA will commence their Silver Jubilee Celebrations from 21st July 2012 to be held at J.B Auditorium, AMA, Ahmedabad.
Mr.Kartik Pancholi, President, ACHAA said that, “It is a matter of pride for the Association to achieve this milestone and it has set an example of achievement through combined and dedicated efforts of all ACHAA members”.
Keeping into consideration of all stated aspects, the Association has designed sequence of events and activities planned every month, throughout the year which involves the presence of CHA Fraternity and entire Export Import community.
The objective of organizing such number of events and activities is to make awareness amongst Export Import community about the state of the art Infrastructure available at Ahmedabad for all commodities and for both Exports and Imports by Air as well as by Sea.
The Association also wanted to awake the entire industry to realize the importance of Ahmedabad, which is well connected to all leading Gateway Ports of Western India and have direct flights to cater International Air Cargo business across the globe.
On behalf of Executive Committee Members Mr. Pancholi congratulated all ACHAA members for their valuable contribution in making the Association to move forward attaining greater heights.
Formed in 1987, ACHAA is an officially recognized CHA Association by Commissioner of Customs, Ahmedabad with a total strength of 144 members.
The Association with proper co-ordination and co-operation is working closely with the Customs; Railways; Airport Authorities; Custodians, Port Authorities along with the Industrial Associations like FFFAI / GCCI / CII / GDMA / ATMA and many others in making Ahmedabad such a large and vibrant Export-Import center. Because of such commitments, ACHAA over the years is not only recognized but also respected by all Authorities and Associations across India involved in Export Import trade.
Today, our fraternity provides employment to more than 2500 people directly or through its associates those who in turn contribute by handling average 1,60,000 TEUs for both Export and Import by Sea as well as 65,000 shipments by Air which in itself is a remarkable achievement added Mr. Pancholi.
On this glorious occasion, Mr. Pancholi took this opportunity to thank Customs and other Authorities, CONCOR, GSEC, Shipping Lines, Air Lines, Transporters and all other Custodians, Export-Import Trade as well as every individuals those who are directly or in-directly attached to activities of ACHAA and its members for extending their continuous support throughout the journey to achieve this milestone.
