Adani Ports set to win O&M contract for container handling at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port

Kolkata - Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ), India’s biggest private port operator, is set to win the rights to handle containers from five berths at Netaji Subhas Dock of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority (erstwhile Kolkata Port Trust) on operation and maintenance (O&M) contract for five years.

APSEZ, the only bidder to place a price bid for the contract, quoted some Rs 2,100 per twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU), which is well within the ceiling rate set by the port authority to emerge the successful bidder, multiple sources said, adding that . . .
