Mumbai Port handled all time high cargo of 67.25 million tonnes in FY24

Mumbai Port handled all time high cargo of 67.25 million tonnes during the FY 23-24 surpassing the previous all-time high of 63.61 million tonnes handled during FY 22-23, in spite of competition from Private and Minor Ports. The year on year increase is 6.14 %. 

Major commodities that increased are:

  1. Crude Oil and POL Products handled at Jawahar Dweep & Pir Pau increased by 6.73 % and 11.18 % respectively.
  2. Iron & Steel handled in Docks (Indira dock + O.C.T.)  increased by 36.55 %

Mumbai Port thanks all its stakeholders especially PSU Oil companies for their continued patronage and also to importers and exporters of Iron & Steel.
