
MUMBAI: India Maritime Awards 5th Edition, Organised & Managed, by Daily Shipping Times held at St. Regis Hotel on 1st October 2021 brought in the Leading Lights and Industry Stalwarts from the Maritime Trade under one roof after a spell of almost two years.
The entire trade applauded the lead taken by Daily Shipping Times in bringing the entire maritime fraternity together to mark this Award Ceremony and to felicitate the Top Achievers of the Maritime Trade.
Shri Sanjay Sethi, IAS, JNPT Chairman, the Chief Guest of this prestigious Award Ceremony in his Key note address informed the august gathering about the how JNPT was able to convert the challenges that came during the Covid Pandemic into opportunities. He also pointed that JNPT was fully operational during the entire phase of pandemic smooth flow of foreign trade. He also briefly highlighted the initiative taken by JNPT to make it a future ready smart port.
Smt. H K Joshi, CMD – The Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), the Guest of Honour in her address informed the august gathering that SCI was able to work all throughout the pandemic period ensuring the smooth flow of trade. She also informed that SCI has now turned 60 years old but is very much young in its working approach. She briefly highlighted initiatives taken by SCI like New service to Male and its foray into Inland Waterways after a long gap.
In a brief video message, Mr. Luc Arnouts, Director International Relations & Networks, Port of Antwerp announced that Mr. Daljit Singh has been appointed as its New India Representative.
The Life Time Achievement Award was given to Ex-DG Shipping Shri Deepak Shetty, IRS, for his immense contribution to the maritime fraternity.
Special Felicitations were given to companies like AMI Global Logistics Pvt. Ltd., Goodrich Maritime Pvt. Ltd., Samsara Group, Master Logitech Pvt. Ltd., Clearship Group, Dolly Freight Consultant, The Shipping Corporation Of India Ltd. and Express Global Logistics Pvt. Ltd. for having completed decades of service in the Maritime Domain.
The Award Ceremony brought the leading lights of the Maritime Trade and Industry Stalwarts under one roof with full attendance to cheer and applaud key achievers of the maritime trade strictly adhering to the Covid 19 Protocols.
Such a huge gathering of Maritime fraternity was held after a span of almost two years due to the ongoing pandemic and hence it provided an excellent networking opportunity for the august gathering. The entire trade was very much thankful for Daily Shipping Times in taking this lead and initiative.
