Hapag Lloyd makes temporary Port Call Change on India Mediterranean Express Service (IMX)

HAMBURG: Hapag Lloyd has recently informed that as of week 40, MV “Ningbo Express”, the IMX will continue to replace the La Spezia call for one more cycle with a Piraeus call.
 
The revised port rotation of the IMX will be as follows : Piraeus - Malta - Genoa - Valencia - Barcelona - Fos - Genoa - Malta - Damietta - Aqaba - Jeddah - Hamad - Jebel Ali - Karachi - Nhava Sheva - Mundra - Jeddah -Piraeus.
 
Besides faster connections from India and Pakistan into East Mediterranean locations, the Piraeus call on IMX offers:
Solid connections into Black Sea (BMX, WBS) and Adriatic (ADX)
Fast transit to Alexandria & Beirut (LEX)
Feeder options to connect Israel, Libya and Syria
Reduction to only one transshipment
 
All transshipment operations to and from out ports as well as connections to other Hapag-Lloyd services will still be possible as usual, said a company statement.
