Kandla : Shri M. R. Patel, Sr. Executive Director, has taken over the charge of Kandla Unit from 31.05.2012 upon super annuation of Shri L. Murugappan.
Born on 02.06.1954, Shri Patel completed his bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from M S University of Vadodara, Gujarat.
Shri Patel belongs to Lunawada, Panchmahals. Prior to taking charge of Kandla Unit, Shri Patel has served IFFCO in different capacities at Kalol and Paradeep Unit.
At Kalol Unit, he was responsible for implementation of various innovation schemes. One such notable scheme was implementation of energy saving Project worth more than Rs. 200 crore.
His innovations and bold decision making has led to turn around of Paradeep plant from a sick Unit to a leading profit making Unit of IFFCO. Under his leadership, Paradeep Unit has also won various accolades and awards from various agencies. Widely traveled across the globe, and an IT savvy, Shri Patel is also a keen lover of nature. He has published more than 20 articles in National & International Journals.
