Mumbai: The Board of Trustees of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust decided to award the development of a standalone container handling facility with a quay length of 330-m towards North at JNPT on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis for a concession period of 17 years with an estimated cost of Rs.600 crore (as in 2007) and capacity of 0.8 Million TEU, to M/s DP World Pvt. Ltd. at a gross revenue share of 28.09% in its meeting held on 31st October 2012.
The Letter of Award was issued to M/s DP World Pvt. Ltd on 31st October 2012. The Concession Agreement is to be signed within 30 days from the date of Letter of Award. The maximum construction period for the project will be 24 months from the date of award of concession.
